According to a unified message, the DOJ has frozen funding for in excess of 100 assistance organizations that assist individuals leave abusive situations and access necessary resources like emergency shelter, therapy, and personalized care.

"Allowing such resources to vanish would enable human trafficking and threaten lives," the letter states. "Many regions will lack their only service provider, stranding victims with no safe emergency housing."

The alliance is urging Congress to encourage the executive branch to restore the allocated money to protect countless trafficking survivors throughout the US.
